We all want to be more relaxed, especially as it's good for a health and general well-being, but how many of us can say we are, genuinely, feeling relaxed?
If that sounds like you, here are a few ways you can start to feel relaxed...
1. GO ON HOLIDAY - We all feel more relaxed on holiday, so if you're overworked and haven't treated yourself to some sun lately, book a late deal and unwind.
2. SMILE MORE - If a holiday is too out of your current financial reach or you haven't got the time, then why not try something that doesn't cost anything and takes no time to do: smile more. It's amazing how better you'll feel.
3. SWAP CAFFEINE FOR WATER - If you're forever wired and can't fall to sleep easily at night, you may be over-doing it on the tea and coffee. By cutting back a little and replacing your liquid intake with water, you'll not only be improving your health, but you'll find yourself far more relaxed come bedtime.
4. PAT THE DOG - Studies have shown that rhythmic activities can relax you quickly and, seeing as this is a family-friendly article, we'll go with patting the dog. Stroking the cat, sharpening a pencil, cycling and dancing all work too!
5. HAVE A BATH - If you're cleaning rituals revolve around morning showers, then why not take one night a week to draw a hot bath, light some candles and relax in the tub? You could even read your favourite novel or pour yourself a glass of wine to treat yourself even more.
6. SPA TREATMENTS - From facials to full body massages, there's not much in this world that will have you more relaxed than a day at the spa, so go on... take time out for yourself.
If you're in the north west, why not think about relaxing at a Manchester spa? You'll find essential spa treatments and other therapeutic activities to help you unwind.
